Class 9JHA recently produced an assembly on the theme of unity. They put a lot of thought into their production and wanted to share some of the content with you. Alexander of 9JHA had this to say about the importance of unity: "There are many examples of unity. One example could be how the Jews stuck together through the Shoah. Some of what our assembly contained was about a bobsleigh team who stuck together to win the race. Here is something we said in our assembly… ‘These are all examples of a lack of unity wars, terrorism, global poverty, political corruption, excessive greed.’ We need to combat these inequalities by promoting peace and justice. This is often done by being a part of a united group of people. There is unity in our school community and we are all a part of this."
- Alexander, 9JHA
As a reward for the students who have been great this half term, the Heads of Year gave out Pancake Passes to the students in their year group who have been exceptional. There were 150 passes altogether and 11JNE were in charge of filling and pancakes with a variety of toppings like Nutella, whipped cream, golden syrup or sugar and lemon. It was lovely to see so many students being rewarded for working hard or simply being lovely. Keep working hard and maybe you will get a reward next time!
