On Tuesday 13th March, the Y7 rugby team attended a rugby tournament at King Edward's School. For some of the boys this was the first time they have played rugby and they definitely rose to the occasion. Under the leadership of some of the more experienced players, the boys got themselves organised and put up a fight in all the matches they played. The team played excellently together and scored plenty of tries across the evening. The schools involved are trying to arrange another tournament for the Y7s, so keep an eye out for more rugby news. If any of the Y7 or Y8 boys would like to play rugby, training is on a Wednesday lunch time and is open to everyone.
Meanwhile Clare Dunford of Y8 (pictured above) competed in Northern Ireland on Saturday 24th March at the National Schools Trampoline finals, representing Notre Dame. She came 2nd out of 30 girls in the U14 Intermediate level. This is an outstanding achievement. She was only 0.4 points away from 1st place.
More trampoline success!
Four pupils, representing their own clubs, competed in the Yorkshire Regional Finals with great success.
All pupils produced superb routines and were a credit to the school.
