At Notre Dame School, we are extremely honoured, privileged, and blessed to have the true presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament residing full time in our school’s prayer room. This sacred presence offers us a quiet, holy space, right within our school grounds, having Jesus here is a gift that deepens our spiritual life and our sense of community.
For a long time now, we have been holding Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament every Tuesday. This weekly encounter with Jesus is cherished by students and staff. Each Adoration session is so meaningful, sometimes filled with silent prayer, sometimes with communal spoken prayer, and often with the prayerful reflection of the mysteries of the Holy Rosary, always led by our young people.
What makes these moments especially inspiring is that our students lead the prayer. Their dedication, reverence, and openness to spiritual growth is remarkable. It is uplifting to witness our young people choosing to spend time in the presence of Christ, leading their peers in prayer with sincerity and love.
Being part of this beautiful prayerful tradition is a profound blessing. At Notre Dame, we are more than just a school, we are a faith filled community where prayer is not only welcomed but also celebrated. The freedom to openly express and share our faith, without question or hesitation, is a gift we do not take for granted.
We give thanks for the presence of Christ in our midst, and for the hearts of our students who continue to keep this sacred tradition alive with devotion and joy.
God bless.
Suzanne
