Annie Naylor of Y9 contiues to go from strength to strength in her running, She came 6th at the English Schools Track and Field Championships 1500m final on Saturday 13th July with a time of 4 mins 36 seconds, which beat her personal best, set in the heats the day before, by 5 seconds.

Chuk Ossamor won first place in the discus, with a throw of 53.66 metres.

Congratulations go to five of our students who competed at the English Schools cross country champs on Saturday 16th March.

James came 84th
Zena came 258th (only 3 mins behind the winner)
Rebecca came 101st

Polly 124th (only 7 secs apart and only one minute behind Annie)

Annie 7th (22 secs behind the winner) and has qualified to represent England in Dublin.

Annie/Polly/Rebecca were part of the South Yorkshire team which won the event.

Annie Naylor finished 8th representing England at the International Schools cross country champs in Dublin in the weekend of March 23rd/24th. She was only 20 seconds behind the winner so a very close race. Her pace was 3:32 min/km for 10 minutes 36 - which is quick! Here she is in Dublin:

U16 Novice - Olivia: Champion, Daisy: 2nd place.


Pictured below are the Notre Dame gym team at the English Institute of Sport on Friday 22nd March. The came 7th in South Yorkshire. They displayed great teamwork and dedication and were a credit to the school.
