A couple of weeks ago, just before the start of the A Level exam season, our Notre Dame community came together to mark a very special moment, the Year 13 Mass of Celebration.
We were honoured to welcome Fr John as the main celebrant for this joyful occasion. His presence and words of encouragement guided us through a beautiful and prayerful liturgy. The students were fully engaged, taking an active part in the singing and contributing to the reverent and uplifting atmosphere.
Musical accompaniment was led wonderfully by Mr Loftus, whose leadership brought a rich spirit to the celebration. We were also treated to the delicate and moving sound of Mrs Scriven’s flute, played as always, with grace.
This Mass served not only as a time of reflection and thanksgiving but also as a heartfelt farewell to our Year 13 students. It marked the end of a significant chapter and the end of their time at Notre Dame but a new beginning of an exciting new journey. Where that journey leads, only God knows, but we send them forward with our prayers and our love.
On behalf of all the staff at Notre Dame, we would like to offer our sincere thanks:
- To Fr John for celebrating Mass with us.
- To our dedicated staff who have walked alongside these young people, offering guidance and care.
- To our headteacher, whose unwavering love and commitment to our students is deeply appreciated.
- To parents and carers for your constant support.
- And most importantly, to our Year 13 students. Thank you for the joy, energy, and spirit you have brought to our school. You have been, and always will be, an integral part of our Notre Dame family.
- We will never forget you. Go forward with courage, and may your lives be filled with faith, hope, and purpose.
Ah! Qu’il est bon, le Bon Dieu!
Ah! How good is our good God!
St Julie Billiart, pray for us.
God bless,
Suzanne
