Four Y8 students have been chosen to take part in the Faith in Action award because of their dedication to the school Ethos and Chaplaincy department. The group’s first meeting was on Friday, the 4th November at the University Hub on Solly Street, Sheffield. Our students met with Y8 students and their chaplains from the other Catholic Schools in the Hallam Diocese in order to begin the first session together, to get to know one another, pray and to celebrate Mass. The students took part in a short liturgy and made a prayer tree. On their heart they wrote down a name or names of people they wanted to pray for.
The next meeting is in January 2023 when students will discuss what they would like to do for their community project.
