On Friday 17th October at 10am, the annual St Clare CMAT Mass will once again take place in the beautiful setting of St Marie’s Cathedral. This special event is always a highlight in the life of our Trust, as schools come together in prayer, worship, and celebration.
In preparation for the Mass, a small group of our Year 8 students joined children from the primary schools, as well as pupils from Notre Dame and All Saints, for a full day of choir practice in the Cathedral last Friday. The rehearsal was led by Ms Carr, a primary school teacher, and Chris Edge, Hallam Choral Director, who inspired the students with their passion for music and faith.
The children worked with great energy and commitment throughout the day, producing singing of stunning quality. I was truly bowled over by the beautiful harmonies and the way the voices blended so movingly in the Cathedral space.
We now look forward with great excitement to the Mass itself. A momentous occasion where our schools will gather as one family of faith to celebrate together.
