Advent Masses and the Sacrament of Reconciliation

For the first two weeks of Advent, we organised two early morning Masses at 8:15am in our beautiful and sacred prayer room, where the Blessed Sacrament is always present. These gatherings provided an opportunity for quiet reflection and prayer during this special season.

The final Advent Mass was held this week in the salle at 12:30pm and was such a memorable occasion. We were blessed to have Mr. Bonner in attendance, a former teacher and Head of Sixth Form at Notre Dame, who now serves as a school governor. Additionally, we were honoured to have Fr. Henry celebrate this final Advent Mass for us. The students took an active role in the liturgy, taking charge of the readings and contributing to the atmosphere of reverence and joy.

During Advent, we also organised the Sacrament of Reconciliation, with Fr. Henry and Fr. Lee graciously coming into school to hear confessions. This initiative was a wonderful opportunity for both students and staff to experience the grace of forgiveness and a fresh start. It was heartening to witness the transformation from anxious and worried faces entering the room and then emerging filled with love and peace.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Fr. Henry and Fr. Lee for their time, dedication, and compassion in guiding our young people and helping them understand the profound love and forgiveness offered by our Lord. Their presence and support during this Advent season were a true blessing to our school community.

God Bless you.
