Winter brings with it a sense of magic and wonder and what better way to celebrate this season of Advent than by creating a Winter Wonderland right within the walls of our school? In a heartwarming display of creativity and enthusiasm, students came together to organise a truly spectacular event that captivated everyone who walked through the Salle doors.
There was an array of stalls organised by 6th form students and lower school students.
Hot chocolate stalls, serving cups of warm chocolate with an assortment of toppings!
There were pancake stalls, cookie stalls, food from Pakistan, a tombola and sweet stalls galore.
What made this Winter Wonderland special was the unmistakable sense of unity among the students. It wasn’t just a fundraising event; it was a testament to the power of teamwork, creativity, and the joy of coming together to create something magical.
This event served as a reminder of the importance of community, togetherness and our duty to live out Hallmark 4, ‘we commit ourselves to community service.’
All proceeds from Winter Wonderland will be sent to a mix of charities chosen by our students. Some charities they have already chosen are Dementia UK and CAFOD for the Israel/Palestine crisis.
In addition, during the Easter holidays in 2025, some of our students are visiting Kenya to experience various volunteering opportunities. They too had a couple of stalls and the money raised will be used towards the cost of their trip.
Wishing you all a happy and Holy Christmas.
