We are thrilled to announce that four of our Year 8 students have started their journey towards the Bronze Faith in Action Award. The first session took place at All Saints School, led by Sue McDonald, the Diocesan Director for Youth, bringing together students from both schools to begin this faith-filled adventure.
The theme for the initial session was “We Love Because We Are Loved,” a powerful reminder of our Christian call to love and service. The students reflected on 1 Corinthians 13:4-13, exploring the virtues of patience, kindness, and selflessness that define true love. Through discussion and shared thoughts, the students deepened their understanding of this passage and its relevance in their own lives.
A highlight of the day was learning about St. Maximilian Kolbe, a Saint whose life exemplifies love and sacrifice. Inspired by his story, the students engaged in a closing liturgy, drawing strength from his example as they set intentions for their own paths in faith and action.
Our students came away from this experience feeling uplifted and motivated. They are already looking forward to the next session and the opportunities that lie ahead to make a positive impact. We’re grateful for the support from Sue McDonald in helping guide our students on this meaningful journey.
Stay tuned as we share more updates from the Faith in Action sessions and the inspiring growth of these remarkable young people!
Thank you and God Bless,
Suzanne
