Important Update: Key Timing and Route Changes to the 785 School Bus Service
I am writing to inform you of specific changes made to the 785 school bus service operating Monday to Friday (Schooldays Only). While the total commute duration remains exactly 1 hour and 5 minutes for both runs, there are notable alterations to stop locations and layover times that will affect your child’s morning and afternoon journeys.

Key Morning Changes (Ecclesfield ➔ Ranmoor)
- Earlier Departure: The service now begins its route at 07:23 from Ecclesfield, St Michaels Rd/High St.
- City Centre Layover: The bus now incorporates a mandatory brief stop at Sheffield, Snig Hill CG9, arriving at 08:15 and departing at 08:17. Please ensure your child is aware of this brief waiting window.
- Final School Arrival: The bus arrives at its final stop at Ranmoor, Fulwood Rd/Riverdale Rd at 08:45.
Key Afternoon Changes (Ranmoor ➔ Ecclesfield)
- Adjusted Departure: The afternoon return service now departs from Ranmoor, Fulwood Rd/Riverdale Rd at 15:45.
- City Centre Diversion: Unlike the morning service, the afternoon route completely bypasses Snig Hill. It instead shifts to serve Sheffield, Arundel Gate AG6 at 16:07.
- Neighborhood Route Split: When heading back through Southey Green, the bus will no longer use Moonshine Lane. It has been rerouted to run through Southey Hill/Southey Green Rd at 16:32, before concluding at Ecclesfield, Mill Rd/St Wandrilles Cl at 16:50.
