Year 9 Students Celebrate Bronze Faith in Action Award

Before the summer break, our current Year 9 students successfully completed their Bronze Faith in Action Award, and a special celebration event was held at St Vincent’s Church, Crookes, to mark their achievement.

The evening began with Holy Mass, celebrated by Bishop Ralph, in thanksgiving for the dedication and commitment of young people from across the Hallam Diocese who had completed the award. We were also delighted to be joined by Alan Dewhurst, Acting Director of Schools (Primary), Catholic Life and Religious Education Adviser, and Inspection Coordinator, as well as Sue McDonald, the Diocesan Youth Director. We extend a heartfelt thank you to Sue for the invaluable support she has given in helping our young people achieve this milestone.

After Mass, the community came together to share a buffet, with the celebratory cakes proving to be a highlight of the evening!

We are incredibly proud of our Year 9 students for their commitment and hard work in living out their faith through action. Their award is a true testament to their dedication, and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow and shine in the future.  Our young people are already asking when they can start their silver award.  Watch this space for further updates.

Thank you and God bless.
