dep peIn Physical Education Y7 to Y10 students will experience a variety of activities which draw on different key skills and techniques. These will be taught on a carousel. In Y11 there will be an element of choice regarding activities to foster participation beyond school. The GCSE and A-Level course will be split into two elements. Firstly a controlled assessment worth 60% which looks at the practical ability of a student – this is externally moderated. Secondly theory work worth 40% which is assessed by an exam in the final summer of the course.

How you can help your child in PE:
General fitness will be key. Support could be supporting your child to take part in extracurricular and to make hand in times. Sixth Form students must participate for an outside club in order to access the A-Level course.
