On Saturday 11th November 2023, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, we invite Year 11 students and their families to join us for our Sixth Form Open Morning. The morning will give you a wonderful opportunity to find out more about our fantastic Sixth Form, as well as the history and heritage of Notre Dame Sheffield.
If you have never visited us before, please come along to take in our picturesque grounds and graceful listed buildings.
Notre Dame is a warm and welcoming community, with students joining us from around 30-35 different secondary schools each year, these students make up 40-50% of our sixth form, with the remaining 50-60% coming from our own Y11. We are a comprehensive, diverse and inclusive Sixth Form and welcome students from all backgrounds and communities. Each year, 95% of our Y13 students take up a place at university, many of them on courses at some of the country’s most competitive institutions.
This summer, 81% of our Year 13 students went directly to study at university, with 45% attending Russell group universities; 14% of students took a gap year planning to start university in September 2024, with 5% of students choosing other progression routes.
There will be two 25 minute presentations running this morning in the Salle (main hall) at 10:15am and 11:15am. Limited parking is available on site, please do park responsibly in our neighbourhood when the site becomes full.
We will pause our open morning for 2 minutes silence at 11am to join the nation in remembrance.
You don’t need a ticket or to book in advance, I look forward to welcoming you on the day.
Mr M Birch
Head of Sixth Form
