Charities & Fundraising

As a school, we believe it is part of our mission to support others through charity, and we see this as a value we are called to instill in our students. Our Mission Statement, “Sharing the love and goodness of God,” is rooted in the words of John 13:35: “If you have love for one another, then everyone will know that you are my disciples.” We believe that all people are created in the image of God and are to be respected as such.

Fundraising and charitable work enable us to put our faith into action and to witness Christ’s love in practical ways. In doing so, we also live out the Hallmarks of a Notre Dame education, particularly our commitment to community service. By serving others—both within our local community and across the wider world—we encourage our students to embrace compassion, justice, and respect, growing as people of faith who share God’s love wherever they go.

Each year, we support a range of charities that reflect both our Catholic mission and the needs of our community. These include the Sheffield Shoebox Appeal, Sheffield Foodbanks, the Good Shepherd Appeal, CAFOD, Red Wednesday, as well as other charities chosen by our students. In this way, we walk alongside those in need, showing love in action and helping our young people to see that their generosity can make a real difference.
